찰스 파지노: 도시는 꿈꾸는가

우리는 도시를 살아간다. 아침이면 높이 솟은 빌딩 사이로 흩어지는 햇살을 맞이하고, 밤이면 네온사인이 반짝이는 거리 속을 걷는다. 

하지만 이 익숙한 풍경 속에서, 우리는 진정으로 도시를 본 적이 있는가? 찰스 파지노의 작품은 도시를 바라보는 우리의 시선을 다시금 깨운다.

그가 포착하는 도시는 단순한 건축물의 집합이 아니다. 거리마다 이야기가 스며 있고, 건물들 사이로 흘러넘치는 감정들이 존재한다. 

그의 3D 팝아트 속에서 도시의 풍경은 평면에 머무르지 않는다. 자유의 여신상은 우리를 향해 손짓하고, 브로드웨이는 흥겨운 리듬으로 요동친다. 

높이 솟은 마천루는 인간의 야망을 상징하고, 골목길 곳곳은 삶의 흔적을 담고 있다. 

파지노는 단순히 도시를 그리는 것이 아니라, 그곳에서 꿈꾸고 살아가는 사람들의 이야기를 조각처럼 쌓아 올린다.

뉴욕에서 출발한 그의 시선은 파리로, 마이애미로, 그리고 우리 모두가 꿈꾸는 이상적인 공간으로 확장된다. 그의 도시들은 결코 삭막하지 않다. 

바다와 자연이 공존하며, 삶의 활기가 곳곳에서 피어난다. 그는 우리에게 묻는다. "우리는 어떤 도시를 꿈꾸는가?"

We live in cities. Each morning, we greet the sunlight scattering between towering skyscrapers, and each night, we wander through streets illuminated by neon lights. But in this familiar landscape, have we ever truly seen the city? Charles Fazzino’s art awakens our gaze, urging us to look again.

The cities he captures are not mere collections of buildings. Every street holds a story, every structure hums with emotions. In his 3D pop art, the urban landscape refuses to stay still. The Statue of Liberty reaches out, Broadway pulses with rhythm, and towering skylines reflect human ambition. Hidden alleyways whisper of lives intertwined, and every color, every layer, reveals a new perspective. Fazzino doesn’t simply paint cities—he builds them, piece by piece, layering dreams and memories into vibrant, dynamic worlds.
