스텔라갤러리 단체전 : e-HWA-9

“e-hwa-9”는 이화여자대학교 미술대학 교수 9명이 한데 모여 펼치는 대화의 장으로, 전시는 작가들의 작품을 단순 나열하기보다 각기 다른 매체와 표현 방식이 서로 교차하고, 충돌하며 만들어내는 새로운 미적 경험을 제시한다.

서양화, 동양화, 도예, 조소라는 다양한 분야를 아우르며 작품들은 각자가 다루는 매체의 특성을 극대화하면서, 동시에 전통과 현대, 물질과 개념, 형상과 추상의 경계를 끊임없이 허물고 있다. 전시는 그들의 작업이 어떻게 개인적 정체성과 시대적 흐름 속에서 독창적 언어를 형성해왔는지를 탐구하는 동시에, 그들이 함께 만들어내는 예술적 시너지를 체감할 수 있다.

전시는 각 작가의 개별적 성취가 아닌, 그들이 만들어내는 ‘연결’을 중점적으로 다룬다. 서로 다른 분야와 매체가 하나의 공간에서 만나며 발생하는 새로운 에너지는 그 자체로 하나의 거대한 예술적 흐름을 창조한다. 물질과 감각, 전통과 혁신 사이에서 펼치는 다층적 대화는 관람객에게 시각적 즐거움에 예술적 사고와 감성과 감각의 확장 또한 가져다 줄 것이다.

Stellar Gallery Group Exhibition : e-HWA-9

“e-hwa-9” brings together nine distinguished professors from Ewha Womans University’s College of Fine Arts, creating a platform for dialogue through their diverse artistic practices. Rather than presenting the works in a simple sequence, this exhibition explores the intersection and collision of different media and artistic expressions, offering viewers a fresh aesthetic experience.

Spanning Western painting, Korean painting, ceramics, and sculpture, the exhibition maximizes the unique qualities of each medium while constantly breaking down the boundaries between tradition and modernity, material and concept, figuration and abstraction. It delves into how each artist has forged their own distinct artistic language through the lens of personal identity and contemporary trends, while also emphasizing the artistic synergy that emerges from their collective efforts.

The focus of the exhibition lies not on the individual achievements of each artist, but rather on the ‘connections’ they create. The dynamic energy produced by these varied disciplines and media coexisting in a shared space generates a powerful, unified artistic flow. The multifaceted dialogue between material and perception, tradition and innovation, offers viewers not only visual enjoyment but also an intellectual and emotional expansion, engaging both the mind and the senses.
