Born in Osaka in 1962 and majoring in sculpture at Osaka University of Art, Keiju Kawashima gained attention for his technique of using various materials, including wood, stone, brass, iron, ceramics, bronze, and glass, in a single piece. The artist has consistently focused on nature, particularly using motifs inspired by wood and flowers. The upcoming exhibition, “A Little CRAZY CLASSICS and Twiggy,” boldly interprets classics in a contemporary way, blending audacious forms with delicate beauty.
